New Bose® Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speaker System

Better Sound for Computer Entertainment

June 11, 2013 -- Today, Bose introduces the Companion® 2 Series III multimedia speaker system, its latest Companion 2 product designed specifically for computer entertainment. It fits neatly on a desktop, and uses just two speakers to deliver lifelike sound for music, video and games.

The Companion 2 Series III system -- a replacement for the Companion 2 Series II system -- now integrates proprietary Bose® digital signal processing, for clearer, more natural audio reproduction at all listening levels. Bose TrueSpace® stereo digital signal processing creates a wide, two-channel soundstage, engineered specifically for computer listening, and a ported cabinet enables full-frequency response, ideal for instruments, vocals and special effects. The resulting experience is exclusively Bose -- clean, powerful sound from a compact, modern design measuring just 7.5"H x 3.2"W x 5.7"D.

The Companion 2 Series III speaker system is easy to set-up and operate. Dual audio inputs on the back of the speaker allow for simultaneous connection to a computer and additional audio sources -- like an iPod or iPhone. Volume controls are conveniently located on the front of the right speaker, along with a headphone jack for private listening.

The new Companion® 2 Series III system joins the Bose® computer speaker system family, including the Companion 20 system, Bose’s best two-piece computer system; the Computer MusicMonitor®, Bose’s smallest, most elegant two-piece computer system; and the Companion 5 system, Bose’s best computer speaker system for music, games, movies, and 5.1-encoded content.

The new Companion 2 Series III speaker system is available in black from Bose for $99.95. It’s sold at authorized Bose dealers, Bose retail stores, online at Bose.com and toll-free at 1-800-444-BOSE (2673).
